With a growing number of people entering their second half of life considered by AARP as 50 years old, and as early as 40 for most people, the time is now for those over 40 to begin sharing their faith testimony.
It’s easier than one thinks with a new platform called Spiritual Life Stories. Founded by Chad Harbour, a man with a very personal story regarding why he started the company that also writes private memoirs, it is also affordable.
“For those people who are timid about giving a testimony like me, a Spiritual Life Story is a way of bringing others to faith, by sharing a book with your story,” said Harbour. “It’s the most important thing we will do in our lives.”
Harbour emphasizes that the Bible is a compilation of many memoirs, from Moses to Jesus, and numerous prophets and disciples in between. If a friend is hesitant to read the Bible, giving him or her a personal spiritual story may be more easily accepted.
A Spiritual Life Stories subscriber has two years to choose to answer over 200 questions pertaining to his or her spiritual journey. Questions cover early spirituality and a person’s family, school, and work history, military service and adulthood, and sage advice. Others can be invited to provide commentary on the spiritual life story of the individual writer.
When answering questions, a keyboard or voice-to-text method can be used to enter the rich information. Photos may also be added, along with a cover photo.
This book can be gifted to a parent, a relative or a friend to complete and is $99 for two years of access. Once the individual clicks “SUBMIT,” a hardbound book with the author’s name and chosen photograph on the cover is compiled and sent.
